Small business owners and consumers beware of this consumer site as the majority of its user demographic (those leaving reviews) are more likely to leave negative reviews as they are statistically in a lower-income class. Furthermore, Yelp offers incentives for their Yelp Elite members. Yelp knows bad reviews sell and thus incentivize their expert gossip hounds. Yelp has hurt thousands of businesses and people by way of allowing incentivized users to vent their frustrations and thus scar an innocent party forever.

The pattern of Complaints:
Yelp came to BBB’s attention in January 2013. A review of the company was done in April 2019. Based on BBB files this company has a pattern of complaints. Businesses state that when speaking to sales representatives, they are sold ad campaigns for one price, but when they receive the invoice the amount changes. Complaints also state, positive reviews are filtered off profiles and are no longer visible. In some cases, businesses state that after refusing to purchase advertising, positive reviews are filtered off their profiles.

This firm appears to be a resume development company. However, they seem to be running review pages on many of their competitors. Although the reviews posted seem unbiased, it appears there is inaccurate information POSSIBLY LEADING CONSUMERS to believe Find My Profession is A BETTER CHOICE thus using this false review front as a means of soliciting business. According to our research, they do make negative claims about competitors that cannot be confirmed. It appears they are attempting to poise themselves as an unbiased review site when in fact, they only seem to be reviewing their competition. According to our findings, this review site is not legitimate, and we suggest consumers beware of doing business with this firm. We give them a rating of 50 on a scale of 1 to 100%. Because they are not necessarily bashing competitors, we will give a rating of 50.
